The Legislative Assembly Elections in Chhattisgarh was held in December 2013. The election was held in two phases - on November 11 and November 19. The term of the Chattisgarh Assembly will expire on January 4, 2014. As per the normal practice of the Election Commission of India, the Election Commission of India holds the General Elections to the Legislative Assemblies of the States whose terms expire around the same time, together.

Performance of Political Parties in 2008 Legislative Assembly Elections

Bharatiya Janata Party has won 50 seats in 2008 legislative assembly election. Congress won 38 and BSP managed to win the remaining two constituencies.
