Ron Paul Timeline
October 2011
October 5: Ron Paul said that his campaign has raised more than $8 million in the third fiscal quarter which ended on September 30, 2011. He has raised $4.5 million in the last quarter.
August 2011
August 16: Ron Paul's campaign says that the media coverage of their campaign is disappointing but not surprising. Paul’s Campaign Spokesperson Gary Howard said “I think the media coverage has definitely been lacking after a pretty significant showing in the straw poll. Dr. Paul came within nine tenths of a percent of winning, yet the winner –rightfully - gets lauded for organizational strength, is declared to have top tier status, etc., while some stories don't even mention name.”
July 2011
July 25: Ron Paul receives endorsement from Cory Adams, the Republican chairman of Story County in Iowa. Adams says: "I try to go for the candidates that line up mostly with the values, the principles of the founders. Out of all the candidates in this cycle, I found Ron Paul to be the one with the longest, most consistent voting record to back up those principles and concepts." Speaking to CNN, Adams went on to explain how his endorsement will help Ron Paul. "Back in 2008 there were a lot of people within the Republican Party that kind of disregarded Congressman Paul. And basically didn't just count him in and/or wouldn't even mention him. So when you can have a county chair who is part of the Republican Party, part of the establishment and support him, it gives him more credibility within the party and brings him back from the fringe."
July 21: Ron Paul welcomes Jack Hunter as official campaign blogger. Jack Hunter is a conservative commentator and columnist. Jesse Benton, Ron Paul 2012 spokesman says: “Jack Hunter is one of the nation’s foremost conservative commentators and his signing onto the campaign as blogger will be a great help in spreading Dr. Paul’s message of limited government and individual liberty,”.
Ron Paul also welcomes political consultant Trygve Olson as a senior advisor.
July 16: Ron Paul's first television ad of his 2012 Presidential campaign will start airing in Nevada from monday onwards. Nevanda comes third in the nation's caucus calendar. The 65-second ad is titled 'Conviction'. Jesse Benton, a member of his presidential campaign said: “Nevada is a key constituency with important and growing influence on the national political environment. Dr. Paul plans to win the state in 2012.”
July 15: Ron Paul Campaign reports $4 million cash available.
July 14: Ron Paul releases first television ad of his 2012 presidential campaign. The 65-second ad focuses on the debt ceiling compromises of the past, and says that although tax cuts were promised during those deals, they were never materialized. The television ad will start airing in New Hampshire and Iowa from Friday. Ron Paul is firmly against any increase of the debt ceiling.
July 12: Ron Paul tells a newspaper says that he won't seek reelection to U.S. House of Representatives next year regardless of how his presidential race pans out. A campaign spokesperson confirms the same to ABC News. Ron Paul was first elected to the House in 1976 and has a 24-year career.
“I felt it was better that I concentrate on one election. It’s about that time when I should change tactics.”
July 6: Republican Sen. Rand Paul, the son of presidential candidate Ron Paul will campaign for his father in Iowa later this month. A statement by Ron Paul's Iowa chairman Drew Ivers said:

“We have raised $4.5 Million in the 2nd fiscal quarter of 2011! We are making history once again. Never in our lifetimes have we seen such a grassroots movement for individual liberty, sound money and non-interventionism. It's time to END THE FED!”
