Hong Kong Legislative Council elections, 2004

Elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong are due to be held on September 12, 2004.

It is regarded as a rivalry between pro-democracy and pro-Beijing coalitions, as well as a referendum for the pace of democratisation of the city.

The elections will be held in 30 Constituencies.

• Hong Kong Island - 6 Seats
• Kowloon West - 4 Seats
• Kowloon East - 6 Seats
• New Territories West - 8 Seats
• New Territories East - 7 Seats
